A rest can be helpful

Have had a week off work and so far I have loved it.

Sleeping at night is a pain at the moment but for some reason I can get as much sleep as I need in the morning - great when you don't have to go to work and so can manage to do this.

The extra sleep I have had has helped me so much. Lately I have been feeling like I have been a bit down in the dumps - nothing fits me, my feet hurt, my ribs hurt - and have had a good cry on a number of occasions lately. Having a good nights sleep has helped me so much with my mood (and my fabulous hubby bought me a great pair of Ugg boots that have helped ease my sore feet).

The other thing I have found it that since I am off I have been able to get out for walks with the dogs more, at my own pace, and this I think has also helped me mood-wise. It has also helped the dogs as well as, obviously, they love the extra w.a.l.k.i.e.s! Oh and the added bonus for me - they sleep all night from the extra walk time.

The best part of being off is that my rib flare has improved so much. Any time I feel it starting to hurt I have been able to lie down - the most comfy position I have found to help - and it helps prevent the pain from getting to sore. It has been an added bonus and has made me consider the option of getting signed off work if, when I go back, the pain returns.

  1. Aww your dogs are well cute, I used to have a little Jack Russell, Lily. Mac my border terrier cross misses her loads. He'll love it when I start maternity leave and he can have longer walks! :)
