Cosatto Giggle Pixelate - you can't be shy!

Having a quiet walk with just me and my baby is a thing of the past thanks to the Cosatto Giggle Pixelate because you just can't walk far without someone stopping to compliment you on your choice of pram.

"What a lovely pram", "Much better than all the black prams you see", "What a happy baby - and who wouldn't be happy when sat in that pram", is just some of the comments we were given whilst out for a quick trip in our local shopping centre, and those are just the people who stop to say something as we constantly hear or see people commenting on how awesome this pram is!

We had previously owned the Mothercare Xpedior and to begin with we loved it, that was until we started to see problems rearing their heads and so had to exchange our travel system for a completely new one. After using this pram for a month or two now I can honestly say that getting rid of the Xpedior was one of the best solutions to our pram and car seat woes!

20140718-170252-61372806.jpgI have never been so excited to receive a package in the post and even the packaging on this pram and car seat showed how fun the product was going to be. Within five minutes of getting the package out of the box I had the pram assembled. There were instructions but the were unnecessary as everything was perfectly simple to work out.

The car seat is snug, much snugger than the Xpedior or the Maxi Cosi that we have so it may not last as long until it has been outgrown but until then it will be used a lot - it is just too pretty not to use!

We have a slight issue with it. Nothing that causes any problems, as such, but we just do not understand why Cosatto has made a car seat that can be used with their own travel system that requires adapters to be attached to it. This means you have to remember the adapters to use the car seat in the chassis. You possibly could keep the adapters on all the time but we have a Mini and we found the adapters touched the sides of the seat and lifted it off the seat a bit too much for us to deem it safe. This is just a small niggle and if you just threw them in your change bag (or your car if you use only the one car) you would be fine.

We also find the arm straps of the car seat to be a bit harder to adjust.

We have just ordered the isofix car seat base which we hope with work wonderfully with this seat.

The carry cot is beautiful and if I am honest I am gutted that we can not use it now as our almost seven month old is too big - she would fit but it would be a squeeze. As with the car seat and pram, the hood of the carry cot as hoops that allow you to attach toys to it and let your baby have a toy but avoid having that toy being flung out of the cot.

We did manage to use the cot a few times and it even allowed our little one to have a brilliant nights sleep when she was in pain from teething.

Overall, as you may have already guessed, I love the look of the pram. The design is eye catching and it just makes me "giggle" and so proud to push it. The cosy-toe and matching change bag complete the look. If it is raining putting on the rain cover is a doddle, and, as they think of everything, the rain cover even has the colourful trim!

The actual use of the pram is just as fun. The suspension on the back wheels helps over bumpy, pot-holed, pavements and getting the pram up and down kerbs is a breeze.

I love the parent and forward facing options, although at the moment we have only used it parent facing. Sadly because if this we have to take the pram apart to fold down as the pram only folds in one part if you are forward facing. This is not an issue as the Xpedior was the same and it takes less than five seconds to remove.

The basket underneath is an okay size bit I feel is could be bigger - you may manage a days shopping but you won't manage to get many larger items in there. It is not that deep in places too so you have to be careful how you pack your pram or you could end up coming home without some of your items.

The handles of the pram have a bit of movement in them so don't be alarmed if you push and feel they are moving. You can adjust the angle of the pram to suit your height although there is not much difference in handle heights if you compare it to some other prams.

Overall the pram is a dream to use and you can tell it is better value than the Mothercare Xpedior. Also, if you register within 28 days of purchase, you get a free four year guarantee so the product will last the length of the time of your child needing it.

  1. awww who wouldn't be smiley which such a funky looking pram! unfortunately many pushchairs do require extra car seat adapters which is like you say a bit of a pain! i always use to keep mine in the car or in the basket of the buggy #tried&tested

  2. It is an awesome designed pram! I understand the need for adapters for car seats but not when attaching a cosatto to a cosatto. They don't have adapters for any other brands carseat to be used!

  4. Maybe time to plan baby number 3? Tho I feel planning a baby round a pram is perhaps not the best plan. I am just so thankful that our Xpedior was so rubbish and that we could replace it as I absolutely love this pram.

  11. […] actually putting it to the test I would say it feels lighter than both the Mothercare Xpedior and Cosatto Giggle. It breezes over lumps, potholes, mud, grass and up kerbs. You can of course lock the front swivel […]

  15. Such a pretty pushchair! I like the Cossatto pushchairs because you get everything included and it all matches. Sadly I found out about them after I'd bought a massive maxi cosi monster of a pushchair.

  16. We discovered Cosatto after we bought our Mothercare Xpedior which was dreadful and harmed our baby so we got an exchange for this. It was and still is absolute LOVE.

  17. Hi dear, thank you very much for your review about Xpedior and Cosatto. I fell in love with the Cosatto first time I saw it, and it was highest in my list. But after reading it was collapsing with baby inside I got fricked out :( Could you tell me if you are still happy with it please? Hope so :) Thank you xx

  18. Hi. I saw the giggle when looking at xpedior and heard the stories of them collapsing also and that's why we went for xpedior really. I have now had the giggle for over a year and not had a single issue with it at all. I still LOVE pushing it and I am so excited about getting to reuse the cot part of it when why newborn arrives in September.
