Night night 11 month old...

One very quick year - too fast if you ask me!

364days

I knew this day would come but little did I know that this day would come round quite so quickly! 365 days may sound like a lifetime on paper, and for Molly they describe her lifetime exactly, but for me they have passed in a blink of an eye.

At this time last year I was at hospital to be put on the hormone drip in an attempt to induce labour. I went to the hospital expecting to give birth, with loads of puffing and panting, screaming in pain, and getting to beat up my hubby. Instead I got put on a drip for 10 hours, that did nothing, whilst I lay there listening to Heart Fm and discussing rubbish with the midwife.

I was annoyed that I was constrained to being in bed for 10 hours as I was hooked up to the hormone drip and antibiotics with the heart monitor constantly checking up on my baby and a blood pressure monitor  checking my blood pressure every two minutes.

I will admit that the 10 hours passed very quickly. I was annoyed that I was not allowed to have any food, just water, but for the most of the time it was incredibly relaxing.

After only about an hour on the drip we had already started to guess that we would end up delivering the baby by c-section even when all the medical team seemed reluctant to say it themselves.

It is strange how that day seems like just yesterday but at the same time it feels so long ago. Where did time fly to?

In that year, Molly, you have made me smile so much, laugh more than I can remember. You have made my heart swell to a size I did not think possible and still it increases in size every time I see you or hear you.

You have been a trooper for all the ultrasounds you had, the physiotherapy appointments you attended.

Your development is amazing. So what you are not walking yet? You are cruising, sitting, laughing, talking, rolling, eating - all things you could not do this time last year!

I can not wait to see what the next year holds for us and to see your beautiful personality shine even more.

Good night 11 months old, good morning one year old!
