Cheap but so cheerful toddler fashion

Daisy dreams in a summer's day

The sun has been out and we have had to go out and buy some summer clothing for M as a lot of her clothing consists of legging, tights or jumpers. I headed across to our local Tesco to see if they had anything (it is only a small store) and ended up with a good few outfits which should last the summer months.

I didn't want to get anything to fancy or expensive as M loves to play outside and get messy and wet so I was happy to find some cute clothing at really affordable prices. Just as well as she is getting complete changes of clothing two or three times a day when she is out and covered in water and sand!

Playsuit:

F&F Daisy Print playsuit: £3

For £3 this is an entire outfit for a sunny day. It has cute little flowers on it and just looks so comfortable. It even has pockets which M loves (me not so much when I almost wash things that should not be washed!

It also features a shirred bodice and an elasticated waist for comfort.

We wore this when we went for a walk round the block the other day and so many people commented on how cute and summery she looked. It is nice and stretching so easy to get on and off and at £3 it doesn't matter if she gets it dirty or not! What a bonus.

Hat:

Mothercare: Two pack £7 (out of stock)

Having a hat on is essential in summer and an item that I would not be without when it comes to dressing M for a nice and hot summers day. I got these at the start of summer and they are probably the most worn item of her summer wardrobe,

I got these as a two pack which included this pink hat as well as a yellow one.

This one is pink with white spots
but I chose it because it had velcro straps to try and get M to keep a hat on. Seems to be working now and I am actually finding M will put her hat on herself now too.

Shoes:

Clarks Doodles Kirsty Hot Pink Canvas shoes: £18

Finding shoes to fit M is a nightmare. She is still just a size 2.5 and so a lot of shops only stock shoes for decoration rather than walking. These are the best pair of shoes she has had (she had size 2 walking shoes from another store). They are so easy to get on and M seems so comfortable in them. The are also machine washable which is great as they get dirty so easily when M crawls everywhere!

Heart print playsuit

So, shock horror, the sun came out in Scotland two days in a row so M had the chance to wear another of her new outfits that she got from Tesco. This was another of her playsuits (yep I seem to love them at the moment) which was great for some water play in the garden.

Playsuit:
F&F Heart Print Playsuit: £5.50

This playsuit features a bold design of dark pink hearts on a bright pin fabric and has cute glittery heart shapes buttons down the front.

It is a lightweight fabric so great for hot weather and has an elasticated waist making it comfortable for all shapes and sizes. It is made with 100% cotton, like the daisy playsuit, so is nice and soft on youngsters skins.

This got wet, a lot, and although not the hottest of days it dried really quickly.

Hat:

Mothercare - As above

Shoes:

Clarks - As Above

  3. Think most of M's clothing comes from supermarkets as you just can't argue with the cost of them especially when they just end up being played in and dirtied.

Such fab, bright, summery colours. I love Yellow on babies, they really suit it :) Both the prints on these playsuits are super fun and look great. Looks like she had lots of fun playing with the water outdoors. Thanks so much for linking up and hope you're having a good weekend! xx #weekendbabystyle

  6. I love both of these playsuits, they are definitely ones that I would pick out for Lizzy too! I also love supermarket clothes, especially since they're not going to be worn that many times before they grow out of them! #weekendbabystyle
