Spot's First Easter

A true classic!

Spot's First Easter - Eric Hill

I remember Spot from when I was little but this is the first time I have taken a Spot book out of the library for M and I can honestly say it instantly became a firm favourite.

This follows Spot and Helen who are hunting for the six eggs that the Easter bunny has hidden in and around the house. With flaps to lift to see if any eggs are to be found toddlers can join in the egg hunt with Spot.

M loves the flaps especially when the bunny or a cat were to be found behind a flap instead of an egg. We haven't done an egg hunt with her yet but I think she seemed so excited by this book that we might have to take part in one at some point this Easter.

Having read this book I went right back to the library to find some more but sadly there didn't seem to be any available but M loved it so much I will be asking for library transfers from other libraries in the area.

The book was bright and cheerful and had plenty of things to talk about on each page turn and although it is about Easter there is no need to only read it during Easter.

At 4 months F was a bit young to know what to do but the images got huge smiles from him and I can see him wanting to read these books as he gets older.

A true classic!

  2. you're right; Spot is an absolute classic. However, I've never read the Easter book. I'll have to have a look for it this weekend when we visit our library. #weekendbookclub

  4. I love Spot! We've never read this one, although we've got through quite a lot of Spot books. I'm sorted for Easter books this year, although this could perhaps be one for baby A next year xx
