Even superheroes need Ella's Kitchen's healthy snacks

I don't know about you but there are some days (is that maybe every day?) that all you hear is "I'm hungry" and it can be so easy to dish out unhealthy snacks without thinking.

A new range of healthy snacks, aimed at children aged 3+, has been launched by Ellaskitchen that takes the worry out of snacking. They are quick, tasty and so tasty.

We were asked if our little superhero would like to test out the snacks and she did, with gusto. To help her channel her inner superhero we set about dressing up as one!

M quickly chose the red cape and mask to wear and run around the living-room. She then spied the "create your own" cape pack which included some "OH WOW" glitter glues. I am not sure just how many oh wows I heard that afternoon but there was so so many.

But even the mightiest superhero has to refuel so when M spied the fruity bars she was so excited to have one (as did I, just to make sure they were okay I am sure you realise).

They come in some great flavours:

Banana and raisin
Pineapple and coconut
Raspberry and mango

After just the first bite she gave a huge thumbs up so I knew we were onto a winner! Once finished she asked for more. "Sorry darling there isn't any more". "Kitchen mummy, more in kitchen. Pleeeeease."

She has since devoured all of the flavours and each time with huge thumbs up and much delight. She sees them as a huge treat and to know that they are so healthy just makes them that bit more special. I also could easily sit and have one instead of a bar of chocolate. Huge praise indeed.

These will definitely be added to our weekly shop as it is so much better than having a biscuit or packet of crisps, and much to my surprise she would choose these before crisps! That is a winner for sure.

The fruity bars comes with exciting packaging for the little superheroes to enjoy. there is a mask that you can pop out and (if given the chance to) pop elastic onto to make them a superhero.

As well as the fruity bars there are Smooshy Snacks which come in a range of flavours:

Orange and Carrot
Apple and Cucumber
Strawberry and Beetroot

It gives you little one of their 1 in 5 in each pouch, which is a great help, and they are mess free and tasty. Although M liked these it was not love and she would choose a piece of fruit over these pouches. She would live on only fruit if given the option. That said she has never really enjoyed having snacks from pouches. A yogurt has to come out of a pot and not a pouch but they are great for putting in a bag for a trip out as you don't have to worry about them getting dirty or bruised. For an every day snack I think we would probably just stick to a piece of fruit.

It is great to have healthy snacks available for kids that actually taste good. So often they can taste bland and this is just not the case here. They are tasty, go down well and are enjoyed.

Buy you snacks here.

We were given a selection of snacks in exchange for this review. All opinions and views are mine and mine alone.
