A year on

This is a late post, a couple of weeks late, but wow where does time go? That is little F one year's old. Can you believe it? We have been so busy over the past few weeks and between never stopping, looking after a husband with a broken kneecap(!) and just being so tired (it is after 9pm and I am still awake, yay), I am just sitting down to write this.

The first few weeks with F were filled with tears (his and sometimes mine) until we finally got Gaviscon and he finally started to settle down. Since then he has grown up to be the happiest, cheekiest and slightly sensitive, boy that I have ever met (yup I know all parents think the same but hey I am allowed gloat).

He is full of smiles. Always saying mama and hiya and tata. He loves attention (though it does have to be on his terms generally) and if he says hi to someone who doesn't hear he will make sure he shouts it louder.

He is close to walking. He can do a few steps alone but he prefers to have one hand held.

He is copying sounds, especially animal noises right now.

His bond with his sister is more than I could ever have dreamt it would ever be. My heart swells with pride when I see them play together and the love the give one another.

He will give kisses on his own back, or when asked. I love them and they are getting less open mouthed by the day. Cute.
