So one very simple craft I decided to use these pens with was a Christmas Eve plate, which seems to be all the rage at the moment.
I just chose an old plate I already had sitting about in the house and then went about testing out the pens.
Now the pens - uni POSCA - can be used on a variety of surfaces, indeed it claims they can be used on almost every surface, from fabric to ceramics, and I am keen to find out just how well they do work. Starting with porcelain/ceramics.
To use the pens you just shake the pen, press the nib a few times until the ink flows, and draw. It really is as simple as that.
The orange, white, black, green and red pens used are from the Posca Fine PC-3M range and have a nib size of 0.9-1.3mm in a bullet tip. The gold and silver were the Ultra Fine PC-1MR which has a nib size of 0.7mm.

Once finished for porcelain you just put it in the oven at 160° for 45 minutes to set and spray with clear varnish. Simple.
I found drawing very easy with these and much easier than had I tried to paint this plate. The whole design was done in half an hour.
The ink does't take long to dry and so I managed to do this in one sitting. The white could perhaps do with a second coat but otherwise I am really pleased with the plate.
The colours, especially the orange, green and red are so vibrant and just pop out at you. I really love this plate now and saved so much money by buying one. Nice and personal and cheap.
Now I am working out what to do for a fabric craft. Keep your eyes peeled for an update when I have done it. I am also working on a glass craft for M's bedroom to hold all her knickknacks which I will post about when I am finished it.
I was sent a selection of these pens in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and mine alone.
