Getting a breath of fresh air at the park

Every day I like to get out of the house and go for a walk so today we decided to go to the park. Normally the walk is just that, a walk, so it was great to actually take the kids to the park to have some fun but just running round.

F has been confident on his feet for a long time but usually when we get to the park he is thinking about having a nap so doesn't always get to have a play so it was great that he was able to explore his surroundings.

The park we went to is just a mile from the house and has only been open for a few months now but M absolutely loves it. It is by far the best one in our town so I really should go there more often.

I am loving F and M's jackets which we got from LIDL a while back with waterproof trousers. I am so glad I bought them. The trouser and jacket were £12 together and we have used them loads. M still fits into F's jacket and trousers so I can see them lasting a long time. It is great that they can get them dirty and you don't have to worry about them ruining their good coats. I saw they were reduced the other day and I bought more trousers and I am starting to wish I had got them both a jacket too.

I loved watching F take in his surroundings and start to explore. Choosing which play equipment to play on and just watching M as she ran off. He so wants to be a bigger kid bless him.

Just watching M makes me realise how much she is growing up. Big girl swings, climbing up the rope ladders herself, using the climbing wall by herself. All things I used to have to do and now I have been made redundant. Even zooming round the park on her bike (which thankfully I still need to help her to start off as she can't quite work that out without toppling off). I can't believe she will be three next month!

Even watching F makes me realise how quickly he is growing up. I used to think M was independent but F is worse. Yes he loves his cuddles and can be a cling on at times but he also has such a fiercely independent streak to him too.

Can not wait until going to the park involves taking a little baby with us too, and when hubby gets out of hospital and able to walk and join in the fun too.
